Why Theology In Progress?
We believe every person has the ability to grow in Christ through every conversation. Everyone has doubts. Everyone has questions about the Christian life. Instead of pretending these issues don’t exist, we embrace them.
Theology In Progress is a safe place for you to express these doubts and questions. We believe when we deal with them out in the open in a healthy way, growth happens naturally.
You are not alone in your struggles. The Theology In Progress community wants to help you better walk the Christian life we all strive to live.
We are each at different stages in our Christian journeys. Every life experience influences your perspective and view of theology. Because of this, everyone will have a different perspective.
Growing in Christ through every conversation requires a safe place for these different perspectives to come together and find real answers to honest questions. Even though we may disagree, we choose to show love and grace.
We are fallen and always in need of grace. Because Christ was gracious and patient with us, we want to be gracious and patient with others. Our conversations at Theology In Progress strive to reflect this pursuit.
What We Do
In January of 2014, we began Theology In Progress to ask these open and honest questions. Our purpose was to take the conversations we were having, and invite others to join us. We realized that our private conversations were producing significant growth in our personal lives. The theological issues we questioned alone became much easier to manage with another person. Growth happened for us as a community in honest conversation.
We wanted to take this conversation public to help others grow like we did. When you grow in Christ, God will change your life. When that happens, he will use you to change the world. The open and honest conversation at Theology In Progress exists to make that happen.
If you don’t have everything figured out, that’s perfect. We designed Theology In Progress for you. As you grow in Christ through the conversation, three things will happen:
1. You’ll find deeper meaning in your relationships with other Christians.
2. You’ll begin to understand who you are in the body of Christ.
3. You’ll be better equipped for service in the Kingdom of God.
We want to help you see this become a reality. We provide new content every week. Subscribe, and we’ll make sure you have the resources you need to grow in Christ through every conversation.
